Performing Arts Club Newsletter - November 24, 2023

I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving!

After months of hard work, our audiences raved about "Return to Associationville."  Thank you to everyone who made this production possible!

In true PAC fashion, we are always looking forward to the next event.  The Information Meeting for "Broadway Treasures" will be held this Monday, November 27 at 6:00 in the Penn Room.  Come hear about the show and sign up for your audition.

The Storytelling SIG will be meeting this Sunday at 6:30 in the Liberty Center.  Come see what this group is all about! Listen to this month's speakers talk about "Chutzpah, Moxie and Audacity." They would love to have you as their audience.

The Choraliers are looking forward to entertaining you at their FREE Holiday Concert on December 19 at 6:00 in the Delaware Room.  There will be music, special guests and a cash bar.  There will also be a collection for the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth, a very worthy organization.  RSVP to vnuudh@gmail.com to reserve your FREE seat.  Come support your PAC friends!!  And did I say, the concert is FREE!!

Pam Pace requested that I send out the following information about the next session of her acting classes:

"The next 8-week session of Acting Class will begin on Monday, January 8 at 1:30 at the Liberty Center.  For this session, we are going to concentrate on two and three-person scenes from 1970's sitcoms, such as  "All in the Family," "MASH,"  "The Mary Tyler Moore Show,"  "The Jeffersons," "Happy Days" and "Sanford and Sons," just to name a few.  We will delve into comedic timing, the 13 types of comedy, defining a comedy plot and fundamentals of humor.  If interested in joining the class, contact Pam at pampace21@gmail.com to get placed on the roster and receive updates about the class.  For those interested, it is not necessary to attend every class to grow your acting skills."

Remember, PAC now has two Websites: pac.scaclub.org for member profiles, Club Officers, SIG information, forms and policies.  Scapac.org has information about upcoming shows, as well as the photo gallery.

And lastly, here is the December Birthday list a few days early.  Plenty of time to wish your PAC friends a Happy Birthday! Jim Howe, Cora Rufino, Mary Richard, Melissa Williams, Hanna Apple, John Athey, Sandie Athey, Elaine Yamada, Marc Dubin, Bobbi Garron, Nicole, Duffel, Gale Haywood, Bill Starr, Melissa Rufino, Marie Yagasits and Christen Sanzobrino.

As always, contact me with any questions, comments or concerns at wadler21@gmail.com.
