Code of Conduct

Here's our secret to maintaining a happy, fun, cooperative, and rewarding experience with the SCA Performing Arts Club.

  1. Respect & Integrity

Members are responsible for respecting the integrity and dignity of each and every Club member. Members are committed to making the Club a more inclusive organization based on mutual respect and appreciation for the winderful diversity of our community.

  2. Representation

A member’s character and actions are a reflection of the Club’s reputation. A member shall not behave in a manner that harms the reputation of the Club at any rehearsal or event.

  3. Members have a right to:

    1. Be treated fairly, equally and with respect by The Club, its Board of Directors and other members.
    2. Socialize, rehearse, and perform in an environment free from all forms of harassment and discrimination.
    3. Have their private information secured and kept confidential.

  4. Understanding the role of the director

The Director determines a production’s artistic conceptualization and actualizes the script by guiding performers and crew in fulfillment of that vision. The Director auditions and casts actors; assembles and oversees the production team; provides design directives; leads rehearsals; and manages the production schedule of the project, making sure that all aspects of the production work in tandem. The Director has final say on all aspects of the production and is responsible for the outcome of the production.

The Director is responsible for creating and maintaining a productive and creative working environment. The theatre is the Director’s venue during rehearsals. To advance the goals of the production, the Director has unilateral discretion to determine who may be in the theatre. Guests may be invited to observe rehearsals at the Director’s discretion; likewise, anyone, guest/cast/crew, can be asked to leave the theatre at the Director’s discretion and must do so without objection. The Director’s decision is final.

  5. No Spam

Users shall not upload, send or post unsolicited or unauthorized junk mail, "spam," advertising, promotions, chain letters, or any other form of solicitation, except postings on an association's web site.

  6. Defamatory or Abusive Material

Users shall not send or post defamatory, obscene, profane, vulgar, threatening, offensive, abusive, inaccurate or illegal material. Users shall not "stalk" or harass another.
