Performing Arts Club Newsletter - November 11, 2023

Good morning!  I have a few items of interest (I hope) and importance.

If you have not yet bought tickets for our upcoming show, "Return to Associationville," what are you waiting for? I just saw the cast pictures on the home page of our Website.  Even those still photos reflect how much fun this show is for the cast, and will be for the audience!!  Come see us Friday, November 17 at 6:30, or Saturday, November 18 or Sunday, November 19 at 2:00.

Of course, many PAC members are involved with the show, onstage or off, but some of you are not.  We need help from just a few of you.  Richard Guaraldi, our Club Caterer, is requesting some helpers for the "Return to Associationville" cast party.  Helpers will be asked to arrive at the Morris/Nelson Room at 1:30 on Sunday, November 19  to set up.  The party will begin around 5:00.  Helpers would also serve and help with cleanup afterwards.  They will, of course, be rewarded with free food.  If you are able to help, or have any questions, please contact Norene at norwalco@cox.net.  She will be very happy to hear from you!

Looking forward, turn your sights to Broadway.  Who doesn't love Broadway show tunes?  Here's your chance to sing them.  The casting process will soon begin for "Broadway Treasures," created and directed by Susan Girard. There will be music from "Bye Bye Birdie," "Camelot," "Les Miserables" and "SIX - The Musical," just to name a few. And, I hear there will be pirates! The Information Meeting will be Monday, November 27 at 6:00 in the Penn Room. Auditions will be held Tuesday, December 5 and Wednesday, December 6.  Show and audition details can be found at scapac.org.  Contact Paula Phelps at rphelpsciyc@aol.com to schedule your audition.

Gary Duffel, our ever diligent Webmaster, has asked me to include the following in this Newsletter:

The PAC now has two Websites:

pac.scaclub.org is used for the following - members' profiles, Club Officers, SIG information, Club forms, policies.

scapac.org will give you information about current and upcoming shows, as well as our photo gallery.

Each site has a link to the other site, so you don't have to remember both addresses.  If you open scapac.org, you can click on the link to pac.scaclub.org and vice versa.  If you have any questions, please contact Gary at elduff@cox.net.  He has worked very hard on the new Website, scapac.org.  Check it out and see the amazing work he has done!

Two of our SIGs would like to remind you of upcoming meetings.  Remember, Readers' Playhouse and Storytelling, each meet once per month.  In November, Readers' Playhouse will be meeting on November 16 at 5:30 in the Bristol Room. (Third Thursday). Contact Phil at pschlaeger@msn.com for more information. Storytelling will be meeting Sunday, November 26 at 6:30 in the Liberty Center.  Their topic this month is "Chutzpah, Moxie or Audacity!"  Come listen to this month's speakers.  They would love an enthusiastic audience. Questions?  Contact Shirley at sincity.shirley@gmail.com.

Once again, I think I am done.  As always, please contact me with any news, questions or comments at wadler21@gmail.com.

Thank you!

Willis
