Performing Arts Club Newsletter - January 20, 2024

Good afternoon!  The first thing I want to do in this newsletter is to thank our Webmaster, Gary Duffel, for spending a LONG time helping me vanquish the evil force that was preventing me from getting to this section of the Website!  Computers are a mystery to me!  Thank you so much, Gary!

Now on to business:

Due to personal reasons, Pam Pace will not be continuing as Recording Secretary for 2024.  I am asking for anyone who might be interested in the position to contact me at wadler21@gmail.com ASAP.  I am happy to answer any questions about the position that you might have. An election must be held to elect a new Recording Secretary once all nominations have been received.

The cast and crew of Broadway Treasures are excited about their upcoming show in April.  Tickets go on sale February 16. Purchase them for yourself, your family and your friends through our Website or at the Activities Office in Anthem Center.

Nicole would like everyone to know that she will be conducting complimentary Anthem Jazz classes at Liberty Center on Mondays at 3:15 and Saturdays at 3:00.  Come check them out, get some exercise and have some fun!

On January 31, from 1:00-3:00, the Last Ride Band will be having an open rehearsal in the Delaware Room.  They would love to have an audience!  Please come and enjoy!

The Production Support Committee is looking for submissions for a Fall 2025 show, as well as for Spring and Fall of 2026.  Even if you have just a glimmer of an idea, contact Bob Dubinsky at dubinsky2111@gmail.com. Committee members are available to help you on the road to creating  a stage-worthy script.

Readers Playhouse meets on the Third Thursday of every month at 5:30 in the Liberty Center.  They are looking for new members who want to have some fun without memorizing. You can bring a favorite short script or one you have written.  Contact Phil Schlaeger at pschlaeger@msn.com.

Storytellers meet on the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30 in the Anthem Center Greene Room.  This month's topic is, "Scams, Shams, Swindles & Fraud."  Do you have a story about any of those?  Do you want to sit and listen to the stories told by others?  Come join them!  Contact Shirley Otradovec at sincity.shirley@gmail.com.

Samaria, in her capacity as Calendar Specialist, wants me to let you know that when using the calendar on the website, click on the box of the event to see the location of the event.  In her capacity as PAC Historian, please contact her at airamasretten219@gmail.com if you have a video or playbill (program) of the following shows - Rockin' America, If These Walls, Return to Association-ville and/or the Choraliers 2023 Holiday Shows.

Our Corresponding Secretary, Norene, is happy to announce that we gained five new members in January.  Tell your SCA friends about all of the different ways to get involved in our club!

I think that is more than enough information for one newsletter.  Please contact me with any PAC information you would like to share in the next newsletter.  As always, thank you for reading till the end!
