Performing Arts Club Newsletter - October12, 2024

This Newsletter is a Readers' Playhouse exclusive. I want to offer my congratulations to everyone involved in "Hold the Onions!" The audience could be heard laughing throughout the show and then they sang loudly and enthusiastically along with the cast during the finale. Bravo to the Directors, Phil Schlaeger and Suzi Dubin;  kudos to the very talented writers of all of the clever and funny skits; applause for the entire cast who put so much energy into their performances; an enormous thank you the tech crew who made it all happen and, last, but not least, appreciation to Richard Guaraldi, our Club caterer who made sure the hungry mob had enough pizza and salad.

Mother Nature had interfered with what was an original idea to perform outdoors, requiring a last-minute transfer to Freedom Hall. Good thing everyone was so flexible and patient!

Thank you to all of the PAC members who came out to support this revitalized SIG. Hopefully you enjoyed yourselves.

Not a group to rest on its laurels,  Readers' Playhouse members will reconvene this Thursday, October 17 at 5:30 in the Liberty Center. Members will brainstorm new ideas for their 2025 performance, as well as choose their SIG Leader for 2025. All PAC members are encouraged to come to this meeting and be part of this fun group. If you have any questions, please contact Phil at pschlaeger@msn.com.
