Performing Arts Club Newsletter - October 4, 2024

Good Morning! This is the second Newsletter I hinted at in my previous Newsletter.  This one is all about opportunities - opportunities to use the skills and knowledge that you have gathered during your lifetime, opportunities to learn new skills (very good for our brains) and opportunities to contribute to the Performing Arts Club. I am not focusing on volunteers for the 2025 Leadership Team, although you can indicate interest until two weeks before our November 12 General Meeting. No, there are some other important opportunities for you to get involved. What follows is essentially a PAC Help Wanted. Please read the details for each to see if any match your interest or skill set.

"Charlie Sees the Light" production crew is looking for someone to operate the light board. Training will be provided. Please contact Norene Collins at norwalco@cox.net for further information.

The Choraliers are looking for an accomplished pianist to accompany them for their upcoming Spring Concert. Rehearsals are every Wednesday from 9:00 to noon. They need someone who is able to sight read, as well as work and play well with fellow instrumental and vocal musicians. This is not a paid position. Anyone with questions or an interest in auditioning should contact Ira King, Choraliers' Director at iratheking@gmail.com.

The PAC Marketing Committee is looking for a new Committee Coordinator. Meridee Joseph, who has been doing a wonderful job heading this Committee will remain a member, but is unable to continue as Coordinator. Responsibilities include the following: Reporting to the President, as needed, attending monthly Leadership Meetings, assigning and overseeing marketing projects such as show promotions and Club Fairs, scheduling and running regular Committee meetings, acting as central contact to SIG Leaders with marketing needs, developing new marketing ideas, approving artwork and promotional ideas for all shows and submitting artwork and promotional form to the SCA Activities Department. Remember, there is an active and knowledgable Committee already in place. Experience in the Marketing field is recommended. If you have an interest in, or questions about, this position please contact Meridee at meridee@outlook.com.

That's our Help Wanted column for now. PLEASE consider volunteering. If you know someone outside of PAC who has the qualifications for one of these positions, please encourage them to join the Club.

Thank you!!
