Good morning! Obsessed with the weather as I have been this long, hot summer, I was thrilled to see that tomorrow's high is predicted to be only in the 80's. I hope that makes you as happy as it does me. Now on to business!
On September 21, several of the Anthem Jazz dancers will be competing in the Nevada Senior Games. The event will be held at 1:00 in the main theater of the Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road. The event is free and open to the public, so come cheer on your fellow PAC members.
Please buy your tickets for the upcoming Readers' Playhouse production of "Hold the Onions!" For a mere $5 you will enjoy 90 minutes of laughter with an assortment of pizza-themed skits. As if that's not enough bang for your buck, you will then get to eat pizza! So support your fellow PAC members, bring some friends and come on October 9 at 4:30 to the Independence Center Atrium and have some fun!
As a reminder, you still have the opportunity to indicate your interest in running for an Officer position in 2025. Nominations can be accepted until two weeks prior to our November meeting. No nominations can be take from the floor at the meeting. If you have questions or an interest in running, please contact me or Bunnie Domnitz (howsbunnie@msn.com).
Story Tellers will not be meeting in October due to the Rosh Hashanah holiday. Their next meeting will be Wednesday, November 6 at 6:30 in the Greene Room in Anthem Center. The theme for that meeting will be "Never Again." Volunteers will be telling a story about something they have done in the past that they will never repeat. If you have never gone to one of these meetings, the group would love to have you come check them out. You'll be surprised by the interesting stories you hear!
This is not the official announcement, but please mark your calendar for Tuesday, November 12 starting at 4:30 for our Annual General Meeting when the 2025 Leadership Team will be elected. There will be entertainment before and after the meeting, as well as a complete catered dinner. More information to follow.
I think that's it for today.
As always, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you!
