Performing Arts Club Newsletter - July 19, 2024

Good afternoon.  Once again, this should be short, but I do have some information to share.

We are still asking for candidates for the 2024 Leadership Committee.  Thank you to those who have already stepped up.  However, we are looking for someone who would like to throw their hat into the ring for President.  If you have questions, I would be pleased to answer them all to the best of my ability.  If you are ready to go for it, please contact Bunnie, our Election Committee Chair at howsbunnie@msn.com. Once again, no President, no PAC.

On to some fun items. Those of you who are relatively new to the PAC, might not know that we used to have a Tappers SIG.  Samaria is enthusiastic about bringing them back, calling this potential group, Tapping for Fun.  To that end, she is asking all who might be interested, (Including men) to come to an information meeting and demonstration in the Delaware Room on Thursday, July 25 at 4:30. Please bring tap shoes if you happen to have them.  If not, non-slip, enclosed shoes that make some noise would be fine. The schedule of this meeting includes greetings, a warm-up, dancing using video links, review, cool-down and discussion.  Please contact Samaria at airamasretten219@gmail.com if you have any questions or are interested in attending.

The next Storytelling meeting will be on Wednesday, August 7 at 6:30 in the Greene Room in Anthem Center. The topic this month is, "A Memorable Trip." This could be a trip experienced, dreamed of, or in the planning stages. The Storytelling group has been attracting more participants each month.  If you haven't yet tried it out, come and listen to what goes on!

Reminders: Meridee Joseph is now writing the monthly PAC Spirit article.  You can contact her at meridee@outlook.com. She wants to hear from you!

Holly Telford is our new Webmaster.  She can be reached at hjwilliams13@gmail.com.

And finally, The Performing Arts Club does not hibernate during the heat of the summer! Stay tuned for updates on the two shows currently rehearsing, Anthem Players', Charlie Sees the Light and Readers' Playhouse's, Hold the Onions!

Stay cool!
