Performing Arts Club Newsletter - May 13, 2024

There really are just a few items to share with you today!

Phil Schlaeger wants to remind everyone about this week's Readers' Playhouse meeting.  It will be held Thursday, May 16 at 5:30 at the Liberty Center. This is an important meeting to attend if you think you might be interested in being in their October 9th show, directed by Pam Pace.  Remember, there is no need to memorize your part.  It's a great way to seeing if you just enjoy performing on stage.  Having been in these shows for years, I can attest that they are a lot of fun.  The group is also encouraging people to send in skits/scripts that include at least a reference to the show's theme, PIZZA! Contact Phil at pschlaeger@msn.com with any questions.

We are nearing the Choraliers' performance titled, "Come on, Get Happy" on May 23 at 7:00 in the Delaware Room. If you haven't already done so, I am encouraging you to buy your tickets and come have some fun! I always have a great time at their shows.

Don't forget about coming out to see the Musician's Guild's, Last Ride Band, as they open this season's Concerts on the Lawn! Bring your chairs to the North Lawn on May 31 at 8:00.  This is a free event open to all of SCA.  Congrats to our PAC band for getting this gig!

When I was helping out at the recent Club Fair, I was introduced by one of our members to Serge Lomako. He indicated that some of our members might be interested in information about starting an Amazon Author account.  He will be hosting a free workshop/seminar.  Anyone interested can register for the seminar at https://free-4974847.webadorsite.com/ .  The PAC is not endorsing this workshop.  It is a private venture.  I told Serge that I would mention it in my newsletter.  If you would like to contact Serge by phone, his number is 713-240-9955.

I think I'm done. I hope to see many of you at PAC's upcoming events!
